LGBT Elder Housing
Coming to NYC

SAGE Developments Coming to Bronx and Brooklyn

Two brand-new, LGBT-welcoming, affordable senior housing developments will soon open in New York City. These gorgeous one-bedroom and studio apartments are specially designated for individuals and couples who are 62 years and older. Each building will have an on-site SAGE Center that will provide health and cultural programs, meal service, and a computer lab.

Construction on both properties is underway. The Ingersoll Senior Residences, in Ft. Greene, Brooklyn will be the nation's largest LGBT-welcoming elder housing community, with 145 well-appointed new apartments. Crotona Senior Residences, which will be built on Crotona Park North in the Bronx, will feature 83 state-of-the-art new apartments.

Individuals and couples who are at least 62 years old and income-qualified for affordable housing in New York City can apply to live in these residences. We estimate that Ingersoll will open in the summer of 2019 and Crotona will open in the fall of 2019.

The official application process has not yet begun, but you can sign up for more information and read our frequently asked questions now. We will alert you well in advance of the official application process.
