Volunteers are the backbone of SAGE. Without volunteers, we wouldn't be able to offer many of the programs and services that are so important to enriching the lives of LGBT older people.

Volunteer Opportunities at SAGE

SAGE offers a variety of volunteer opportunities, including Friendly Visiting, and other ad hoc opportunities for NYC based volunteers.

Interesting in Hearing More About Volunteering at SAGE?

At present, SAGE's main volunteer opportunities are SAGEConnect and Friendly Visiting.

SAGEConnect, which launched during the COVID-19 pandemic, pairs volunteers with SAGE participants for weekly phone calls. For more information about SAGEConnect, please click here.

Friendly Visiting, founded in 1979, pairs NYC based volunteers with SAGE participants for weekly home visits. For more information about Friendly Visiting, please click here.
